Well, I’ve finally got through 2002 PPV’s! Overall, a great year with some awesome matches, though it WAS a step down in quality from 2000 and 2001. The main reason for this imo was the brand split, which kept wrestlers away from each other and prevented us from always getting the best match ups that WWE could offer us at the time. However, for the most part things were still great, and we still ended up with some incredible match ups throughout the year.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

So who was the best wrestler on PPV in 2002? Well for my money, it’s all about THE UNDERTAKER. Guy was a beast. Despite being involved in 2 of the worst PPV matches you are ever likely to see (Vs HHH), he completely DOMINATED the top 10 matches of the year list, including being in my overall 2002 MOTY against Brock Lesnar in the Hell in a Cell match at No Mercy (which I gave the full ***** to on this watch). His character as a heel was incredible, then his babyface turn lead to the awesome feud with Lesnar.<\/p>\n

And of course, best PPV of the year for 2002 absolutely goes to SummerSlam. Despite me not loving the HBK\/HHH match as much as I once did, the quality of the show overall out performs any other PPV in 2002, and any other PPV from 2000 and 2001 with the exception of Backlash 2000!!!<\/p>\n
